Payday is a personal finance app for the rest of us normal people.
It takes a fundamentally different approach from all other money-management apps in that it:
this means that it:
in fact, it doesn't record transactions at all.
The main screen of Payday shows you your two most important things:
Payday hides all the complexity to help you concentrate on what you need to know know now: how much money have you got to play with—today. This is the big figure in the middle of the screen.
The shiny lights around this number count up towards the next payday. If all the lights are lit - it's payday!
Payday tracks all your outgoings in the Bill book.
Enter each bill and how often it needs to be paid and Payday will add it to the folder.
Bills can repeat weekly, monthly, quarterly and Annually.
The money for each bill is taken into account in your daily budget. So as long as you don't overspend every day you will always be able to pay your bills!
If you add a contact and account number to a bill you will be able to phone the company straight from within Payday
Payday will also help you save up for things like holidays, birthdays, presents or rainy days.
Simply enter the name, the amount of money you need and the day you want it for. Payday will split the cost over the saving-up period and inform you when your money is ready to spend.
Payday even gives you a fun little savings book so you can flick through your items and see how long it is until you get to buy them.
The revolutionary approach of Payday is simple:
To do this it tracks Paydays, Bills and Savings and it tells you how much money you can spend each day.
As these things can all be set-and-left it means that you have to spend at most an hour setting it up for you and then it-just-works™.

Payday keeps itself up-to-date using a simple method of balance adjustments. Once in a while you get a statement from your bank, perhaps as you withdraw your daily dosh, and you give this figure to your iPhone.
From this moment all past misdemeanours are taken into account and your are no longer lying to yourself.
